Supermoon 2016

I got home late last night and everyone was in bed. As I took the trash out I noticed that I didn't need the patio light to go out into the backyard. I thought, well it is a supermoon, you had better grab your camera. This particular image was taken with my now aged Nikon D300 (first generation) on a tripod with a radio trigger and in mirror lockup mode. I had my Tamron 70-200 f/2.8 affixed to a Bower 2X teleconverter to help get me closer. I find that I don't lose much in the lines of sharpness when there is plenty of light. My settings were 1/125 @ f/11  iso 200. Edited in Camera Raw by setting camera profile, cropping a bit, and adjusting the exposure sliders a bit. I always shoot RAW. :)
