Such an amazing treat to watch the rain clouds build, water the earth, and a lighting/thunderstorm ensue. So beautiful out yesterday evening. The pictures below were my first ever attempt at capturing lighting with my DSLR (D500 + Tamron 28-75; f/2.8). It was not easy, I tried both a remote and the interval timer but some of the better displays happened in between shutter operation. But I managed to get a few that I thought were pretty amazing. Though after download I realized in my excitement to set up my camera, I did not clean the wide angle lens--I hadn't used it for a few years so I should have known. Oh well, learning experience.
