Wow, what a beautiful morning for my 6-year-old and I to stumble across another nice set of waves and what looks to be the National Scholastic Surf Association (NASSA) surf competition here in Ventura, CA. Originally we were just going have our coffee (me) and oatmeal (him) at the beach but when we saw the surfers in the water and some really nice sets, I grabbed the trusty Nikon D500 and 200-500 f/5.6 lens. During most of the shots he was on my lap helping me focus and shoot and was having such a good time. If you see yourself in any of the images below, feel free to click on them to go to the full gallery and download a digital copy, use it for your own personal use (and don't forget to tell everyone where you got it if you post it on social media. :)) Thanks again, Ventura, for another wonderful surf photo sesh!
